“Hey!”
“Hiii”
Silence fills the room
“Sooo done anything exciting recently?”
“Nope... life’s been pretty ordinary heh...”
Words begin to flood my mind,
There are so many things I want to say to you,
But I can never seem to focus on one word,
One thought.
I can feel the silence
Slowly closing in.
I clear my throat,
You look up,
And for a minute our eyes lock.
You try for a grin.
I attempt a smile.
More silence.
Suddenly,
You shoot up,
Mumbling excuses.
Desperate to get away from here,
From me.
And before I can even say goodbye,
You’ve vanished-
And I’m still here,
With all my unspokens.
