By Dinara Jasinghe
Amongst the land of sorrow and strife,
Where destruction reigns and hatred thrives,
Innocent newborns caught in the fray,
Their cries drowned out by the chaos each day.
They have yet to learn of the horrors of war,
But already they're scarred, forevermore.
Bloodshed stains the streets, a heart-wrenching sight,
A never-ending cycle of darkness and blight.
The uncertainty of peace looms overhead,
As the devilish glow of war casts its dread.
Families torn apart, dreams shattered and lost,
In the ruins of a land at an unimaginable cost.
Oh Gaza, your pain echoes through the night,
A tragic symphony of despair and fright.
May peace find its way to your war-torn shore,
And bring an end to all the suffering you endure.
