Who is this mysterious, enigmatic fuzzy ball of cuteness?

As I’m sure most of the readership is aware of, there is a cat that roams by the wall dividing the sheltered pathway of AIS and the houses by it. This cat has no known name, no collar and no cash ( If it does, it ain’t telling)

There are things to be said about the cat, though my interview with it proved not very fruitful. Other sources had much more to say on its behalf.

  • It has an owner who lives nearby ( which would explain its lack of consistency and how it gets food)

  • It enjoys being played with and tickled ( I personally attest this)

  • It is playful but lazy, if it ain’t pawing around a ball of yarn/ piece of tissue, it’s sleeping ( That’s just cats in general, though)

My interview with the feline

Me: Hello, cat

( the feline has a slight response, lying down on the bench wall of the sheltered walkway)

Me: can you tell me where you were born?

( The feline does not respond)

Me: Please?

( Nothing)

Me: ( in monotone) Take me to your leader

( The cat, irritatingly enough keeps lounging)

Me: Okay then, If I have no choice

( I take a tissue and dangle it above the cat, it watches the tissue with fascination, turning its head in accord with the movements of tissue. When the tissue gets, close, the cat paws for it but fails, the second time however the cat catches the tissue, seems to gnaw on it then drops it. Despite this the cats interest in the tissue barely wanes)

( I continue this for a minute more, then leave)

End interview

Let’s face it, you’re here for the photos, aren’t you?

It’s probably a bit much.

Probably.

In retrospect maybe the blog shouldn’t have selected a writer who loves cats as much as me.
